Blonde Tattooed Texas Girl Overwhelmed By Marriage Proposals From ISIS Fighters In Iraq

Image
A tattooed, blonde woman who grew up a Christian in Texas has been overwhelmed by marriage proposals from ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria after one of her social media posts went viral. Jennifer Williams, a foreign policy researcher, caught the attention of thousands by joining a Twitter trend pointing out the difference between mainstream Islam and the jihadists bringing war and devastation to the Middle East. But she was shocked to find ISIS jihadists appreciating her message - in which revealed herself as an unlikely convert to Islam. The fighters, presumably besotted by her bright blue eyes and platinum blonde hair, were so taken with her that they started to send marriage proposals. Miss Williams was brought up a Baptist in Texas, uses Southern slang such as 'y'all' - and admits nobody would guess she was a Muslim at first sight. She now works for the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. The message which captured the attention - and heart

Mutiny saga...‘We’ll die if our only son is executed’

Image
Clement’s mother displaying her son’s photo with friends before he joined the army Lance Corporal Stephen Clement,  30, is one of the 12 soldiers recently sentenced to death for mutiny, by a military tribunal. But for his family, (an ailing 65-year-old father who served in the Nigerian Army for 37 years, a sick mother and two sisters, one blind and the other deformed) , sending their bread-winner to a firing squad means death for all of them. Weekly Trust visited the family. Pa Stephen Onyelofa is a very ill old man. The ex-soldier is seemingly still hanging on to life by a thread, waiting until the life support that has kept him alive all these years is finally cut by the Nigerian Army, which is awaiting the decision of an appeal court to go ahead. The life support keeping the retired Corporal alive is not a hospital machine or the latest experimental drugs – he is too poor to afford any such treatments. His life support is his son, Lance Corporal Clement Onyelofo, who b

Catholic Knights of St. Mulumba rally against abortion

Image
Towards creating awareness on the sanctity of human life even in the womb, and stop increasing incidences of abortion, the Family and Human Life Unit of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and Knights of Saint Mulumba, Lagos Metropolitan Council held a pro-life vigil under the theme: ‘The Family: Fountain of Life,’ at the Archdiocesan Marian Shrine, Maryland, Lagos. This is the fourth year the vigil will hold. Addressing the faithful, Deputy Metropolitan Grand Knight, Knights of Saint Mulumba, Egbert Imomoh, said the theme is intrinsically linked to the Archdiocesan Year of the Family programme. The aim of the programme according to him, is ‘to draw the attention to the fact that the beginning of life in the womb should ordinarily start in a family-setting, which provides the love that allows the gift of the womb to grow in the likeness of God the giver of life.’ Imomoh added that when such life is terminated through abortion, there is abrupt end of potential talent, which is

The first person diagnosed with the deadly Ebola virus on US soil is faring worse and now in critical condition, health officials said Saturday, having previously described him as seriously ill. “Mr. Duncan is in critical condition,” the Texas hospital treating Thomas Eric Duncan, who traveled from Liberia to Texas in late September, said in a brief statement. The update came as US authorities said none of the individuals believed to have had exposure to Duncan, including nine deemed to be at high risk, had shown any signs of Ebola infection. “We are confident that none of those with definite contact had any symptoms related to Ebola, none of them had fever,” said Tom Frieden, the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The nine people deemed at high risk would be monitored closely, Frieden said. “We will be looking very closely particularly at the nine individuals in the coming days, understanding that the peak period after exposure is about ei

The miracle of body magic and wonder bra - by Etcetera

Image
You can talk about body magic but please leave our wonder bras alone. Lol. Article written by singer turned writer, Etcetera. Enjoy... Those women who wear simple and proper undergarments, this article is not about you. It is for those women who are confused and concerned and are leaning toward spending their hard-earned money on a magic garment that is being peddled as if it can solve all that ail them, only to be sorely disappointed. Every eight seconds, a woman looks in the mirror and wants to be smaller. I have a huge problem with this type of women.  Whenever I meet people who pretend to be what they are not, it gets under my skin. When you present yourself as something, you’re asking me to trust you are exactly what you say you are. Why would you then abuse the trust you asked for with the goal of winning my heart? That is not fair. A friend of mine introduced me to a very hot chic at a bar in Ikeja and after hours of hanging out and getting to know each other,

Image
Comic actor Baba Suwe says he's no longer interested in the N25million compensation he asked from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for falsely arresting him on drug charges  In a chat with  Punch , Baba Suwe said he doesn't want the money anymore, just a public apology because of how much the arrest affect both his personal and work life; "The NDLEA has wronged me and it is meant to find a way to make me happy. It is a slap on my face. I am not agitating for the money; I don’t need it to survive in life. All I want is an apology. If the government can tender an apology to me and publish it in newspapers, I will have peace of mind and be happy,” he said. He also denied recent reports that he's getting re-married soon. "It is not true that I am about to get married. Don’t mind those saying it, they are saying rubbish. There is no atom of truth in it. If I would get married, it would not be a secret; everybody would hear about it. I als

Beheaded by BH: Tribute to Wing Commander Chimda Hedima 1975 - 2014

Image
Despite some military sources claiming the man beheaded in the Boko Haram video is unknown to them, friends of Wing Commander Chimda Hedima have paid him tribute. They also told the story of how the brave young man killed as many Boko Haram men as he could, knowing he would be captured. See the tribute below... On 11/09/14, a company of NA soldiers attempted to overrun a Boko Haram position in Borno. Due to the low altitude, the plane suffered significant damage from the terrorists' gun fire. Wing Command er Hedima & his partner realized that they were going to crash. I nstead of hurriedly parachuting to safety within Nigerian controlled territory, they chose to embark on a mission to destroy as many terrorists and their weapons as possible. They parachuted out at the last minute but not before ensuring their plane slammed into a column of terrorists in which 63 Boko Haram members were killed as a result of their bravery.  Wing Commander Hedima was captured.
