The Super Falcons of Nigeria this evening October 25th beat Cameroon 2-0 to win the 9th African Women Championship 2014 which took place in Namibia.  Football stars Desire Oparanozie and Asisat Oshoala gave Nigeria the victory after scoring the two goals in the match. This will be the 7th time Nigeria has clinched the title. Thanks girls!!   Super Falcons Asisat Oshoala was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Victor Torlowei A 26-year old man, Paul Adelakun has been arrested by the police at Ikotun division for attacking his neighbour Victor Torlowei whom he forced to eat feaces inside a toilet in Lagos. He was charged before Magistrate’s court Ejigbo with conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault under the Criminal code. PM News gathered that the incident happened at their residence at 7 Ilupeju street, Pako Bus Stop, Ikotun. According Torlowei, he had disagreement with Adelakun’s elder brother and later went to the toilet to relieve himself. He said while he settled down to defecate in the toilet, Adelakun forced the door open and started raining blows on him and forced him to eat his feaces he had already discharged during the attack. When he attempted to resist, Adelakun used a broken bottle to stab him on some parts of the body. It took the intervention of neighbours who rushed to the toilet to rescue him. The calm and cool Sunday afternoon breeze was slapping travelers on this quiet country road down south. Traffic was light thus driving on a two lane smooth road deeper into a sprawling sub division was like high ways to heaven. The clear blue sky was strikingly colorful and immaculate. The Nasarawa State Police command yesterday  paraded  one Ikechukwu Desmond Okwonkwo for allegedly raping three of his daughters. Seven other rapists who gang-raped a beer seller were also paraded with him. While addressing journalists at the state Criminal Investigation Department on the successes recorded by his Command between September and October 2014, the state Police Commissioner, Usman Yakubu, said Mr. Okwonkwo’s wife reported the matter to the police. The police commissioner alleged that the girls were in their father’s custody when he committed the crime. The Commissioner said the victims had since corroborated their mothers testimony that their father had actually had carnal knowledge of them. Mr. Yakubu did not provide the ages of the three girls. He also did not say when Mr. Okwonkwo would be charged to court. A woman in Iran convicted of murdering a man she accused of trying to rape her was hanged at dawn today - despite an international campaign to save her,  mirror.co.uk  reports. The country's official IRNA news agency said Reyhaneh Jabbari, a university student, was hanged for premeditated murder in a Tehran jail at dawn today. It quoted the court ruling as rejecting the claim of attempted rape and saying all evidence proved that Jabbari plotted to kill Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence agent. The court ruling said Jabbari, 27, stabbed Sarbandi in the back in 2007 after purchasing a knife two days earlier. Human rights groups had called on Iran's judiciary to halt the execution after claiming her conviction came after a deeply flawed investigation. Amnesty International believes that although Jabbari has admitted stabbing the man once in the back, she has said another man who was also in the house at the time actually killed Sarb

With the Ebola Virus taking more lives, the WHO has revealed vaccines will be available in 2015.  According to Reuters, two leading vaccine candidates are in human clinical trials, and said another five experimental vaccines were also being developed and would begin clinical trials next year.  WHO’s Marie-Paule Kieny told reporters after a meeting in Geneva. “Before the end of the first half of 2015 ... we could have available a few hundred thousand doses. That could be 200,000, it could be less or could be more,”  Researchers are testing two candidate vaccines from GlaxoSmithKline and NewLink Genetics. “At least 5 vaccines are following closely and will be in the clinic in the first months of 2015, ”

1 5 year old Jaylen Fryberg (pictured above),  a member of the Tulalip Native-American tribe, entered his school cafeteria yesterday morning around 10.41 am, walked over to a table, pulled out a gun and shot five students. He killed one, injured four, who are in critical condition at the hospital, and then he took his own life by shooting himself in the head with his father's gun. The incident which lasted for about two minutes took place at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington D.C yesterday. See photos from the chaos that ensued and the full story below.
