An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to 3 years in prison on corruption charges after a retrial in Cairo. It was not clear whether the sentence will include the time Mubarak has already served, the Associated Press reported. According to the court order, which also includes a 125 million Egyptian pound ($16.3 million) fine, Mubarak's sons Gamal and Alaa were given 4 years of imprisonment each in the same case, which centers on the embezzlement of millions of dollars over the course of a decade. The court's decision can be appealed, a lawyer for Mubarak reportedly said. The funds, which were meant to pay for renovation of presidential palaces, were allegedly spent by Mubarak and his sons on maintaining their private residences, AP reported, adding that several supporters of the 87-year-old autocrat shouted in anger as the judge announced his verdict. A Fourteen-year-old girl has recounted her four-year ordeal in the hands of a neighbour, Felix Emmanuel, an Edo State indigene, who took advantage of her innocence. At 14, she explained that if she knew that the threats that had kept her quiet from disclosing what she was going through were mere lies, she would have told her mother about what was happening to her before it went on for too long. “He (Emmanuel) first raped me in 2011 when I was 10 years old.
