A 31-year-old woman, Omoronike Ishola, on Friday prayed an Alakuko Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve her six-year old marriage over alleged battery and threat to life. The petitioner, an hair dresser, who lives at 29, Ifalokun Owode St., Ajegunle, a suburb of Lagos told the court that her husband, Wasiu Ishola, is not responsible. Ishola, however, denied being irresponsible, adding, “I don’t strangle her; I only beat her whenever she grabs my scrotum. The Nigerian military is set for a final, and comprehensive onslaught against the extremist Boko Haram group, in an operation expected to end by before February election, a website that distributes press statements for the Nigerian military, has reported. PRNigeria quoted a military source as saying that government forces have finalized plans to conduct a “once and for all comprehensive operations” towards the elimination of Boko Haram terrorists in parts of North East. A woman who wants to remain unnamed has described to BBC Hausa the evils and ordeals going on right now in the town of Baga after she escaped the town of Baga, Kukawa LGA, Borno State which is currently under the control of Boko Haram.  Boko Haram carried out one of its deadliest attacks earlier this month town of Baga . The exact number of people has not been verified killed the military claim over 2,000 people have died but one woman who survived the attacks has told the BBC Hausa service about life in the town. President Jonathan says his late younger sister, Mrs Nancy Oleic-Jonathan, who died on Jan. 4th, died of heart related ailment. A nun has stunned her mother superior and sisters after giving birth to a baby boy after complaining of severe stomach pains.The sister, who belonged to an order in Macerata, in the eastern Italian region of Le Marche, claimed to have no idea she was pregnant when she was rushed to hospital in agony, after which she gave birth. The 31-year-old nun said she had no idea that she was pregnant and thought her labour pains were just "stomach cramps".An ambulance was called after the pregnant nun collapsed in the nunnery. Local media refused to name the nun, who is currently recovering in Bartolomeo Eustachio Hospital in San Severino with her sisters reportedly at her bedside.The newborn baby boy is in good health but will stay in hospital for medical checks. Ada Esther Johnson, popularly known back in the 50s as Ada Ocha Ntu pictured above with her lover, Mark Hall, whom she murdered in 1953 after she found out he'd used the 400pounds she loaned him for business, to go to England and marry an English bride. According to history, Mark used part of Ada's money to buy his new bride a car which she would use to start a transport business in the UK. He returned to Nigeria and told Ada what he'd done with her money and a very furious Ada used a pair of scissor to stab Mark. Mark eventually died from injuries sustained from the attack. Ada was tried and convicted in 1956 and was placed on death row at Broad Street Prison in Lagos. She was however pardoned by former head of state Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe, who changed her death sentence to life imprisonment in 1961.
