A farmer in Herkimer County, N.Y. couldn't figure out why his cows seemed more anxious than usual. When they weren't producing as much milk as usual, he set up a surveillance camera. What he saw shocked him:  two men were rolling in the hay with his livestock, CNYCentral.com reported. The farmer, whose name has not been identified, contacted authorities who conducted their own investigation. As a result, Michael Jones, 35, and Reid Fontaine, 31,  were arrested for misdemeanor sexual misconduct,  UticaOD.com reported.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is expected to sign a bill today (Monday)  that criminalizes homosexuality, a government spokeswoman told CNN.The signing is expected to take place at 9 a.m. CAT. The Ugandan president has so unsure about signing the anti-gay bill  .Just last month he described them as  “sick” people who needed help, not imprisonment. Homosexual acts are illegal in Uganda and even  the penalties are now toughened , they   include  life imprisonment for certain acts. Museveni said that Ugandan scientists had determined there was no gene for homosexuality.Shortly after his announcement, U.S. President Barack Obama warned that enacting the bill would affect relations between the two nations. He described the proposal as an “affront and a danger to the gay community” in Uganda. It has been learnt that US  and Britain are among the nation’s largest donors.

Speaking on the mess that is oozing out of President Goodluck Jonathan's government, Sanusi Lamido told the AFP that Jonathan lacks the will to appoint truthful men and women, as he is surrounded by crooks. In the words of Sanusi: “ His [Jonathan] greatest failing obviously is that he is surrounded by people who are extremely incompetent, who are extremely fraudulent and whom he trust s.”

The mobile number portability (MNP) exercise introduced to checkmate unwholesome practices and poor quality of service (QoS) by Nigerian telecommunications subscribers may have become another wasted project. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has spent billions of naira on the exercise. Investigations by LEADERSHIP showed that, since July 2013, the telecommunications regulator has refused to publish figures on the porting of subscribers from one network to the other. The last figures released by NCC on the MNP were for the month of May and June 2013, while the exercise was flagged off on April 22, 2013. MNP allows subscribers to change mobile network whilst retaining their phone lines by offering to accommodate dissatisfied customers.

CNN is pulling the plug on “Piers Morgan Live” after just three years in a key primetime slot. The program, hosted by former newspaper editor Piers Morgan, had struggled to gain traction at the 9 p.m. hour, and was routinely beaten in the ratings by cable competitors. “CNN confirms that “Piers Morgan Live” is ending,” the network said in a statement. “The date of the final program is still to be determined.” Piers Morgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment. “Piers Morgan Live” replaced the CNN show hosted by iconic TV interviewer Larry King in early 2011, a tall order for any presenter.

Mother of the late Ecobank worker, Babatunde Oke ,  has insisted that the police knew how her son died. Babatunde died under controversial circumstances while in custody of the Falomo Police Division, Lagos State, over allegation of N1.2m fraud. The man, who was attached to the bank’s branch in Ogba, was detained for three days by the police over his alleged involvement in the fraud. Alhaja Sidikatu Oke, 60, fighting back tears, told  PUNCH Metro  on Saturday that 35-year-old Babatunde died within 20 minutes she left him. Sidikatu explained that she had gone to withdraw money from the Automated Teller Machine in order to perfect her son’s bail.
