UNMASKING OF RENO OMOKRI: President Jonathan’s Social Media Aide Reno Omokri Exposed As Author Of Fake Document Linking Ousted CBN Governor To Boko Haram

Image
Reno Omokri, the outspoken Special Assistant on Social Media to President Goodluck Jonathan, was yesterday unmasked as the brain behind a fraudulent attempt to link Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to the recent spike in Boko Haram violence in Borno and Yobe States. In one of the recent attacks, Boko Haram terrorists slaughtered some 60 secondary school students at their boarding house. Posing as “Wendell Simlin,” Mr. Omokri circulated a Word document linking the former CBN Governor to the recent attacks. The ruse was however uncovered when some Internet-savvy Nigerians traced the IP address of the source document and it turned out that it had been authored and circulated by Mr. Omokri.

FACTS FOR THE RECORDS: Shell Says 'We Have People In All Relevant Nigerian Ministries'

Image
This may not be a news to many people, but it is still necessary for the majority, who do not have the knowledge of this information, to be aware of what is going on in our country. The western world maybe behind most of the things happening in our country, they take most decisions of what is happening in the country behind closed doors, they have some of their people planted in most strategic positions in the Nigerian government, so that through those people, they will be manipulating the affairs of this nation Shell EVP for Shell Companies in  Africa met with the Ambassador on October 13 to discuss the status of the proposed Petroleum Industry Bill. She said the GON wanted the National Assembly to pass the bill by November 17 and that the international  oil  companies would have to move quickly if the House passed the bill in the coming weeks. SAMUEL ETO EXPOSED: Footballer Samuel Eto's Baby Mama Exposes: He's 39 not 32

Image
Sometime ago, I discovered that a friend of mine is playing under 21 in Nigeria and according to his data he is just 20yrs old. I was shocked! But I later discovered that it's called football age. If you try to expose the truth many people will hate you, they will say you are an "enemy of progress". So, the lies continue. Could this be the case with Samuel Eto'o? Anything is possible. It seems Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho, is one of those who doesn't believe that Eto'o is just 32-year-old. In the words of Mourinho: "The problem with Chelsea is I lack a scorer. I have Eto’o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?" But his ex-lover, Anna Barranca, who has an 11year old daughter with him, has exposed Eto'o...

Man Cancels Marriage On The Wedding Day as Bride Fails Pregnancy Test Conducted By Church

Image
When churches compel ladies who have been séxually active for years to just abstain from the act over night it should be made clear that most of these ladies may just be pretending to be abstaining because of the man they want to get married to in church but they are busy getting "enough servicing" from other men. This was the big mess that played out at a Redeemed Church last Saturday, 22nd February, 2014. The Senate President's wife, Helen Mark, was to play hostess at the wedding. The bride, Cynthia worked for her and was said to be an orphan thus had become her adopted daughter. Guests got to the venue of the big wedding at about 9am but 2hrs later, neither the bride or the groom came out. As guests started getting impatient, the groom came out, took the microphone and announced to the surprise of all guests present that he is no longer interested in the marriage...

Editorial: 500 killed, 100 Killed, So What?

Image
DOES it really matter how many die daily from Boko Haram attacks? Who cares who the targets are? Who is interested in the body count? What difference does it make if 500 die today or 100 the next day? Have the gruesome details of victims being burnt, slaughtered, or buried alive made any impact on us? Are we even able to count how many have been killed? Nigeria has descended to the dreaded lethargy prolonged exposure to gory lawlessness creates. There was a time when loss of a few lives drew those magnificent comments about the sanctity of lives and measures that must ensure that we never went through the fatal paths again. Lives were important. Their importance did not lie in the numbers, but the fact that each life counted, it mattered. Feeble as the efforts governments made to sustain lives seemed, we were aghast at every instance of security agencies unlawfully taking lives. Government vented its anger on groups that engaged in wanton destruction of lives and property. W...

Image
ABUJA—Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy and , Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala , said yesterday that the $ 500 million recovered Abacha loot was used to develop the nation’s rural areas. The minister was reacting to an article by Mr.  Sonala Olumhense who claimed that $2.5 billion was recovered from the funds looted by the then maximum ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha but that the money disappeared under the minister’s watch. According to the minister, $ 500 million, not $2.5 billion was recovered and had been spent development projects in rural areas as agreed with the Swiss government.   A statement by Mr. Paul Nwabikwu, Special Adviser to the minister said that the claims by Mr. Olumhense were unverified and largely false. “The problem I have with Mr Sonala Olumhense’s articles on the Coordinating Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is the general absence of verified facts and the basing of opinions on gross inaccuracies.

Suspension: Court Refuses To Reinstate Sanusi As CBN Governor

Image
Hope of early return to office by the suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, was dashed on Wednesday when an Abuja Federal High Court refused an ex parte motion he filed in a bid to set aside his suspension by President Goodluck Jonathan. The court instead ordered that the President should be put on notice, and fixed March 12 for both sides to argue the motion. In the motion he filed on February 24, the CBN governor asked the court to reinstate him, and also make an order of interlocutory injunction restraining the President, the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police from stopping or preventing him from performing the functions of his office and enjoying in full, the statutory powers and privileges attached to the office. While urging the court to urgently grant the motion, Sanusi had argued that any delay might cause irreparable and serious damage and mischief on him in the exercise of his statutory duties as the CBN g...

The insurgents, who were said to have arrived at the college at about 2am when the pupils were already asleep, reportedly set  locked hostels on fire before shooting and slitting the throats of those who tried to escape through the windows. Some were burnt  alive. The incident was said to have brought to 300 the number of civilians so far killed in Boko Haram attacks this year alone. That is apart from the number of security agents that were killed. It came barely a week after 106 people were killed by the insurgents in an attack on Izge village in Borno State near the state’s border with Adamawa State. That same day the attack...

Do you know that Nigerians are now living as refugees in Niger Republic? That is the reality of the matter, sad as it is. As you read this, tens of thousands of Nigerians have gone to Niger to escape from the latest wave of attacks and bombings by the deadly sect, Boko Haram, that continue to operate with impunity. One of the students who was shot by the terrorists but managed to survived, said: “I was shot on my left leg, while I was sleeping. When I woke up, I could not walk and was later taken to the girls hostel where the insurgents gathered us with the female students.   They selected some of the female students and went away with them, while they left some of us groaning in pain from gun shot”.
