Five days after nurse Nina Pham, the first direct transmission case of Ebola disease was declared free of the disease, a second nurse, Amber Vinson (pictured above) who also had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, the man who took Ebola to America, has been declared free of the deadly virus. Amber was declared free this afternoon October 28th by management of the Atlanta Emory Hospital where she had been undergoing treatment.

A female shoplifter was stripped to her waist by a merciless store owner after she was caught stealing in her store. The shoplifter, 28 year old Yu Chung, went into the store in China's Zhejiang province to buy clothes and stuffed some into her bag without paying for them. The angry store owner, 39 year old Mei Hsueh, who caught her red handed, descended on her, removed her top to prevent her from running away, then removed her bra and pushed her outside of her store. Of course a crowd gathered to watch, some took photos and shared them online... "This thief was trying to steal my clothes to I took off some of hers.She'll think twice before she does that again. It was meant to be a warning to all those thieves out there to show them that not all shops are a pushover." the store owner said The police was eventually called and Yu was taken away. She has been charged with theft but no action was taken against the shop owner.

The body of Oyoms Alamieyeseigha, one of the sons of former  Bayelsa State Governor, Diepriye Alamieyesegha, was flown into Abuja this evening October 28th from Dubai via Arik Air, on transit to Port Harcourt, as the family prepare to bury him. The 30 year old man, who was schooling in Dubai, was found murdered there on Oct. 11th. Police initially said it was suicide but that has since been ruled out. Hopefully, the people behind his death will be captured.

T he first posters for the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise have been revealed. And, in a particularly poignant move, they feature the late Paul Walker, one of the stars of the hit movie series. The actor passed away in November 2013 after the car he was driving crashed, and his shocking death is still being felt across Hollywood. The Australian government today announced a travel ban on all flights from West African countries, including Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Thankfully, Nigeria is not included. Making the announcement, the Australia's Minister of Immigration, Scott Morrison said under the new travel ban, no new visas would be issued to intending travelers from these countries and that all temporary visas would be cancelled, this is all in a bid to stop the spread of the deadly Ebola virus. He also said all passengers with permanent visas that have to travel to Australia from these countries will be subjected to 21 days of isolation in their countries of departure and upon arrival in Australia will be subjected to all kinds of test. He also announced the suspension of all its West African and Humanitarian programmes.

D'banj's younger brother Kayswitch's baby mama, Meena Subramani, stormed his home in Lekki Phase1 this afternoon demanding to see him, but for some reason, the security guards wouldn't open the gates. Meena, who got there by taxi and was carrying their 7 months old baby, started banging on the gate, shouting at security men and screaming that KaySwitch should come out and face her. She made a lot of allegations as she was screaming but I will leave that out for now. The house belongs to D'banj but he's currently not in Nigeria. Nobody came out of the house for the hour or so Meena was outside creating a scene. She has since left.  

38 year old Emery James Jenkins (pictured above) has been arrested after he allegedly bit and beat his own son to death...because he wouldn't stop crying...and blamed it on a neighbour's dog. From  NY Daily News A Minnesota man who allegedly bit and beat his infant son to death two weeks ago because he apparently wouldn’t stop crying blamed the attack on the neighbor’s dog but police aren’t buying it and he is now being charged with second degree murder. Emery James Jenkins, 38, of Deer River told police that he had accidentally dropped his 3-month-old son on his head while in the bathtub and that the neighbor’s dog had attacked the boy while he was in a car seat wearing a monkey suit, according to CBS Minnesota. The medical examiner’s office, however, tells a different story. They said in the report that the baby suffered a skull fracture, blunt force trauma to the body, and cutting or biting injuries to the chest, hands, fingers, feet and toes....

An Abuja-based woman who was barren for 27 years has delivered a baby boy after reportedly being pregnant for 5 years in Lagos State. PMNews reports that the woman, Adenike Kolawole delivered on Sunday at Evangelical Church of Cherubim and Seraphim located at Pipeline Road, Mafon area, Ejigbo, Lagos during church service. Kolawole who is married to Kayode said her problem started after she had a miscarriage. She said she has been looking for the fruit of womb since then. She had sought both medical and spiritual help before she noticed that she was pregnant. But at the same time she was observing her normal mensural circles. She said she waited endlessly to deliver but all that expectations was to no avail. This prompted her to relocate to Lagos. She said the search for spiritual solution brought her to the church where she eventually delivered the baby. Dominic The Nigerian man, Dominic Adesanya, who was charged with jumping the White House fence last week was dragged screaming from a courtroom today after a federal judge declared him incompetent to stand trial. Dominic Adesanya had appeared in court after he was stopped by Secret Service dogs before being arrested on Wednesday. He was reportedly unarmed at the time of his arrest and U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson on Thursday ordered a mental screening for him. DailyMail reports that U.S. Magistrate Judge John Facciola said during a preliminary hearing that doctors found Adesanya incompetent to stand trial. 'You can't do this to me! Somebody please help me!' screamed Adesanya, struggling to escape from the grip of court marshals after the judge spoke. 'This is a trap! Having served in the Nigeria Police Force for about 30 years, the plan of ASP Emmanuel Mbilla was to retire in 2018 after which he would set up his own private security firm. However, Emmanuel’s dream was cut short on February 22, 2014 after a life-changing encounter with a naval rating, Warrant officer Unaji Enejor, in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State. PUNCH Metro  learnt that the 50-year-old victim was attacked in the eye by the naval rating, causing him to lose his sight completely. It was learnt that prior to the attack, Emmanuel’s left eye had already been damaged by Glaucoma.
