A Russian photographer, Tatiana Egorova, has busted a prostitution ring run by some Nigerian ladies who lure innocent girls into Europe with the promise of better job opportunities, only to force them into selling themselves for money; that is after making them swear to an oath to repay the money used in sponsoring them. Egorova who went underground to expose the dirty ring, reports that she met with four young girls, all of them from Benin City in Edo State, who were recruited into the prostitution ring. The most pathetic of the girls is a 24-year-old girl named Juliet who went to study Economics in a Russian University only to be tricked into prostitution. 35 years old Steven Anowa, from Njikoka Local Government Area in Anambra State, presently cooling his heels with the police in Akwa Ibom State, has related how he butchered 31-year-old Daniel Bassey Solomon, the brother of his girlfriend at his one-room apartment in Itu Street, Uyo, the state capital. Solomon hailed from Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. His killer, who is in the habit of changing residences, had just packed from Uruan where he met and started dating Solomon’s sister, about two years ago. Anowa, who has no perceptible means of livelihood, but lives a showy lifestyle, confessed that he invited the deceased to his home after he refused to repay the N750,000 he allegedly used to set up a barbing saloon for him (Solomon). The deceased came to know him through his sister, which was why he funded his barbing saloon. So, I'm trending on Twitter because I carried these tweets from a lady who told an ex publicly on Twitter that she misses him. It wasn't a DM, she publicly tweeted at him. People asked her to take the tweets down before it starts trending. A lot of people CCed me and I thought well, if she's refusing to take the tweets down, then it means she really doesn't care if blogs carry them. She's still insisting that she doesn't see anything wrong with missing an ex and letting him know. James Ndu, who she tweeted at says she's married but maybe he's mistaken and she's not really married? Anyway, she said she will reveal more and I'm on standby...lol (Just doing my job.)

Doctors in China are set to remove a 'unicorn horn' from the head of an 87 year old woman named Liang Xiuzhen in Guiyan village in Ziyang City, in south-west China’s Sichuan Province. The elderly woman, known locally as the 'unicorn woman' because of the 13cm-long horn on top of her head which began to grow about 2 years ago. Doctors are astounded by the abnormal growth. According to Wang Chaojun, Xiuzhen’s son, the growth started about 8 years ago   "My mother complained about this mole-like growth on her head that itched all the time. We found ways to cure her itch using traditional Chinese medicine, and then left it be." But two years ago, the mole turned to a growth...which rapidly grew into this horn in about 6 months. INEC officials who appeared before the Delta state Election tribunal sitting in Asaba the state capital, yesterday August 26th, told members of the tribunal that after the  April 11th  governorship elections had been concluded, it was discovered that the state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa who was declared winner of the election, had more number of votes than the number of accredited voters during the  April 14th governorship election. According to Premium Times, two INEC officials, Assistant Director, ICT Department from Abuja headquarters and Chief Planning Officer, Delta State office, tendered the accreditation report of the  April 11  election before the tribunal on the instance of the APC its candidate, Emerhor Otega who is challenging the election results.  The INEC staff told the tribunal that the card readers recorded no sustained failure during the governorship election in Delta state and accredited numbers of voters as at  April...

He said this in an interview with The Nation “With the rate at which our young entertainers are abusing drugs, and alcohol, many of them will be raving mad, in asylums, or rehab in the next 10 years.
