Honeymoon Killing- Shrien Dewani walks FREE despite hit men confessing he ordered the murder of his wife

A man who was accused of ordering hitmen to murder his wife during their honeymoon in South Africa 4 years ago has finally walked free .Despite the hit men confessing to the crime after revealing he told them to murder her ,Shrien Dewani was today dramatically cleared of any part in the honeymoon murder of his new bride Anni after a judge threw out the case against him. As the sensational verdict was handed down, Dewani's parents both burst into tears, while his brother Preyen allowed himself a small smile. Three men have already been convicted of their role in the death, after the taxi the Dewanis were travelling in was hijacked as they passed through a township late at night. Former EFCC Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu clinched the PDP ticket for Adamawa state, while serving senator, Ifeanyi Okowa won the primaries in Delta state. Former Ministers Labaran Maku and Emeka Wogu who both resigned their appointments as Ministers in October lost the tickets in their respective states of Nassarawa and Abia. A 65yr old French inventor Christian Poincheval (pictured above) has created a sweet smelling pill that makes farts smell like chocolate. The chocolate pill is a new addition to his other products which include pills that make farts smell like roses or violets and fart-reducing powder for pets. According to him, necessity was the mother of this invention. He said he was was eating dinner with friends in 2006 when he realised the group had caused a gas attack at the restaurant. "Our farts were so smelly after the copious meal, we nearly suffocated. The people at the table next to us were not happy. Something had to be done. When we were vegetarian we noticed that our gas smelt like vegetables, like the odour from a cow pat, but when we started eating meat, the smell of the flatulence became much disagreeable. GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- A plane has crashed into a house in Maryland's Montgomery County. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue could not immediately say whether there was anyone in the Gaithersburg house at the time of the Monday crash or how many people were injured or killed. They say the house is on fire. The crash happened less than 1 mile from the Montgomery County Airpark.

A 16-year-old Nigerian girl named Kiahmarah Nwagwu (pictured above) has been declared missing. According to London24, Kiamarah was last seen leaving her school, Hammersmith Academy on Wednesday December 3rd at about 1.30pm. Kiahmarah is slim and between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall. At the time of her disappearance, she had shoulder-length Afro-style hair, and was last seen wearing a dark knee-length wax coat, but might have taken a change of clothes. Anyone who has seen Kiahmarah or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call Hammersmith & Fulham police on 101 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.

23 year old Nigerian student Mustapha Musa Osmanu, studying Information Communication Technology (ICT) at Sikkims Manipal University, Accra, has been arrested by the Ghanian police for stabbing two of his brothers at their home in Accra Newtown on Friday November 28th. One of them died instantly. Confessing to the crime, Musa said he was under the influence of drugs when he stabbed his brothers. He said a night before the attack, he'd taken 20 doses of Diazpam 5gm tablets, to enable him study. "I admit committing the act. I regret my action and I even wanted to commit suicide after the act but Jamiru took the knife from me. I was out of control after taking the drug. I regret having taken the drugs which enables me study for more than five hours a day…” he said  On the day of the attack, Osmanu had sneaked into their kitchen around 3.30pm, picked a knife and first stabbed Jamiru Osman, 23, in the chest before stabbing Nazifi Osman Mohammed, 27, in t

Nigerian Troops Arrest Boko Haram Cameramen In Adamawa State

As the Nigerian troops continue to sustain their offensives against terrorists in North-Eastern Nigeria, more arrests have been made. Some of the recent arrest include professional cameramen for the terrorist group who are experts in photo, video recording and filming of their attacks on communities and atrocities against innocent citizens. The terrorists were nabbed during patrols, surveillance and raid operations to track fleeing terrorists in communities around Adamawa State. Confirming the development, the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said four of those nabbed as they tried to escape in an SUV jeep with digital camera and weapons were taken into custody. He added that they are helping in ongoing investigation in one of the barracks

Just In: There have been gunshots fired at today’s Lagos PDP primaries

Gunshots have been fired and teargas deployed as order breaks down at the Lagos PDP gubernatorial primaries which is yet to start at Yard 158, Oregun, Lagos. Delegates were still coming in, but a large number of area boys had converged at the venue before the violence broke out. The front-runners in today’s PDP primaries are former minister, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and a relatively new kid on the block, Jimi Agbaje. Meanwhile, former Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike has being declared the winner of the Rivers PDP Primaries which took place earlier today in Port Harcourt. Wike got 1,083 votes while Ebinabo West came in second with 3 votes. More details to come. Update : The tear gas was said to have been fired to disperse the area boys who had literally overrun the venue of the primaries. The situation is much calmer now and party leader, Olabode George and his wife reportedly arrived moments ago.

Controversial Former Minister Nyeson Wike “Wins” Rivers PDP Governorship Primary

The former Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, on Monday emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, in a peaceful primary conducted at Community Secondary School, Nkpolu in Port Harcourt  Local Government Area. Wike, who immediately gave his acceptance speech after the result of the primary, polled 1,083 votes, while Dumbari Dimkpa came a distant second with 21 votes. West Ibinabo got three votes while Emmanuel Georgewill and Lee Maeba got one vote each. However, 17 out of the 24 governorship aspirants boycotted the exercise. The PDP governorship primary in the state was conducted amidst heavy security presence as operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Security and Special Anti-Robbery Squad were on the ground to ensure the security of lives and property.

Nigerian Medical Association suggests psychiatric tests for all politicians before elections

The Nigerian Medical Association in a communique issued at the end of the National Executive Council meeting in Jos yesterday December 7th, advised that all politicians seeking for public offices in the 2015 general elections should undergo psychiatric test to determine the state of their mental health. The communique was read by Dr Kayode Obembe, who said it had become necessary for politicians to undergo psychiatric test because of the way some politicians in the nation behave. He also said all psychiatric doctors had been advised to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission that will supervise such tests and all medical doctors to participate in the political process at all levels.

10th Sierra Leonean doctor dies of Ebola

A doctor from Sierra Leone has died from Ebola, making him the 10th doctor in the country to have died from the dreaded virus.  Dr. Brima Kargbo, Sierra Leone’s chief medical officer, said Dr. Aiah Solomon Konoyeima died of Ebola on Saturday  Dec. 6th. Details of how and where the doctor became infected are not known. Of the 11 Sierra Leonean doctors infected with the disease, only one has survived. Konoyeima who tested positive for Ebola 2 weeks ago, worked at a children's hospital in Freetown, Sierra Leone's capital. He was being treated at the Hastings Ebola Treatment Center, which is staffed exclusively by local Sierra Leonean medical personnel, before he passed away. The World Health Organization (WHO) set a 60-day goal on  October 1  to isolate 70% of Ebola patients in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone and ensure safe burials for 70% of bodies, which are highly infectious. A maid in Uganda who was secretly filmed beating and kicking a toddler has pleaded guilty to child abuse. Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, was charged in court with the torture of a girl of 18 months. A video of the assault caused outrage when it was posted online. The child's father, Eric Kamanzi, had installed a camera in his home after noticing his daughter was bruised and limping. Ms Tumuhirwe asked the court, the parents and Ugandans to forgive her. The graphic footage, which is taken from a camera hidden in the corner of the living room, shows Ms Tumuhirwe hitting the child when she resists feeding and then throwing her to the floor, beating her with a torch before stepping on her and kicking her.
