The Cross River State Police Command killed one suspected robber and arrested six others shortly after they attacked a micro-finance bank in Calabar on Tuesday, November 15th. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, disclosed this to newsmen yesterday, at the command's headquarters in Calabar while parading the suspects. Ozi-Obeh said the surveillance team attached to the Atakpa Police Division received a distress call from concerned members of the public informing them about an ongoing robbery at a bank located along Mayne Avenue by Inyang Street in Calabar South. Photo: Police arrest Greek woman, Nigerian man over cocaine confiscated at Athens International Airport

Police this week, arrested a 28-year-old Greek woman who ordered 3 kilograms of cocaine on behalf of a 42-year-old Nigerian man, who was also arrested. The drugs were confiscated at Athens International Airport from the luggage of a 33-year-old man who arrived in Greece on Thursday, on a flight from Sao Paolo via Zurich. The drugs(pictured) had been concealed in four packages in the outer casing of his suitcase, police sources said. Investigation is ongoing.

Photos: 60-year-old man paraded naked in Ohafia, Abia State, for raping and killing a woman on her farm

A 60-year-old man accused of raping and killing a young woman, was beaten, dragged and paraded naked by youths and women of Amaekpu, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, today, November 18th. According to Abia Facts Newspaper, while the suspect was raping the young lady on the farm, he insulted and mocked her for being a virgin and later killed her. He then informed the victim's friend to tell the family where they can locate the body. The man will be handed over to the Police but not until the community is done torturing him. MMM NIGERIA Saving lives as the Community donates millions to hospital patients in Ibadan (PHOTOS)

Community of mutual aid and donation exchange popularly known as MMM on Thursday, November 17, 2016 donated about N2.5Million to hospital patients in Ibadan who are suffering from deadly ailments and without hope to settle their hospital bills. According to one of the members, Eleyele Benjamin, he said MMM’s “Save a life” Charity program is one of the reasons the group was founded. He said; “what we do in our community is providing help for each other. We provide for people in need at a time when other people who don’t need, pay for them and get rewarded after 30 days. “And part of the motive of the organization is providing for the less privileged. Corpse of young man lynched at Alafia busstop was just removed on Thursday (photos)

On Thursday, we visited the crime scene where a young man was beaten and burnt to death by an angry mob on Saturday, November 12, for allegedly stealing phones from a woman at Alafia bustop, Orile and shockingly found out that his corpse was left at the roadside from Saturday when he was lynched, till Thursday morning when an ambulance came to pick up his already stinking corpse. From what we gathered it's normal practice to lynch criminals in the area when they are caught and sometimes it takes as much as two weeks before the corpse of the person is removed from the crime scene as the police in the area don't really care and people have resorted to jungle justice as their own means of survival
