She introduced Sasha Fierce to the world in 2008 with her third studio album I Am…Sasha Fierce. But Friday morning Beyoncé made it clear that Sasha Fierce was no more and there was a new alter-ego in town – Yoncé. And to make sure the 32-year-old’s new side got a memorable welcome – she was joined by models Jourdann Dunn,  Joan Smalls  and Chanel Iman in a very sexy video for the song simply entitled Yoncé. The 30 second teaser was released in the early hours of Friday morning alongside with her self-titled surprise fifth studio album, which she has described as her ‘visual album’.

Congressman Antonio Garcia Conejo of the Democratic Revolution Party stripped down to his underwear during a speech in front of Mexico’s congress on Wednesday, the BBC reported. "This is how you're stripping the nation. Where is the benefit?”  he told the assembly. The historic new energy bill will allow foreign private energy companies to drill for oil and gas in the country for the first time since the country nationalized oil in 1938. Since then, state-run oil company Pemex has had a monopoly on production in the country, according to CBS News.

According a LIB reader who witnessed the incident which occurred on Tuesday Dec.10th around the Yaba area of Lagos, a car that had been parked on the road for quite a while, cornered a trailer as it approached around 4pm on Tuesday. Two hefty men then jumped out of the car and dragged down the driver of the trailer who was wearing a blue suit and began stabbing him in broad day light. According to eye witnesses, one man concentrated on his head and the other on his tummy, while people watched in horror unable to help the victim. They stabbed him for several minutes while a third man said to be the driver of the car was heard shouting 'kill him', 'kill him' in Yoruba. The incident which lasted a few minutes caused serious traffic and panic as several motorist, who weren't sure of what was going on, abandoned their vehicles and took to their heels. Following the release of a video on the internet of a gang sodomizing two women, an elected official and the police are issuing conflicting reports about the incident. Supreme Court Discharged and acquitts Mr. Bode Georgers Corruption Conviction

Two days after former President Olusegun Obasanjo accused President Goodluck Jonathan of condoning corruption, a panel of judges at the Supreme Court of Nigeria today quashed the conviction handed Bode Geoerge a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain earlier jailed for corruption by a Lagos High Court.  The court discharged and acquitted Mr. Georger claiming that the prosecution at the Economic and financial Crimes Commission had no evidence of Mr. George's intention to commit fraud at tyne Nigeria Port Authority where he was caught presiding over a contract bazaar the bled the nation of Nigeria.

A lawyer and a man, believed to be one of his workers, were found dead this morning in a Toyota Camry car after the popular Inter-Bau Roundabout in Asaba, Delta State. The engine of the car was still on and the air conditioner was also on when the incident happened. People noticed the occupants of the car were not moving, before they rushed towards the side of the car to see what had happened, before finding them dead. No one knew the cause of their death. But some people who identified the man said, he mostly dealt with land matters and was just returning from a court session. 

Controversial letter: Jonathan, Obasanjo meet in Kenya

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday met behind closed doors in the  Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting held less than 24 hours after an 18-page   letter Obasanjo    sent to Jonathan went public. Both leaders were in Nairobi for  Kenya’s  50th independence anniversary which was held inside the Safaricom Stadium. The former President had in the letter accused Jonathan of  condoning corruption and engaging in acts  that were capable of destroying the country. Before  the event, Obasanjo had made an  appearance at Jonathan’s hotel on a day the  media were awash with the letter  titled “Before it is too late.” The former President’s arrival was said  to have been heralded by the surprise visit to Jonathan by Obasanjo’s daughter identified simply as Funke. AKURE— SIX boys suspected to be members of a cult known as Blue Angel, have allegedly gang raped a 16-year-old secondary school student in Akure, Ondo State capital. As 24-year-old school dropout, Yusuf Lawal, was yesterday remanded in Kirikiri Prison custody by a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, for allegedly being in possession of a gun, which was later discovered to be a toy gun. The boys, who reportedly recorded the act with their mobile phone, while taking their turns on the girl, threatened to upload it on the Internet if she dares to report them to her parents or the Police. However, two of the alleged rapists have been arrested by officials of the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, while four others are on the run.

ABUJA- FORMER Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged former Military President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, ex- Vice President Alex Ekwueme and others whom former President Olusegun Obasanjo copied his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan to speak up. According to Atiku Abubakar, although he was not competent to speak on the letter because he was not privy to the communication, he however said that General Theophilous Danjuma and others leaders who were consulted by the former President before the publication of the letter shouul intervene and reduce what he termed, the tension created by former President Obasanjo’s weighty allegations.
