Brad Pitt is producing through his Plan B production banner along with Nyong’o and Andrea Calderwood. The film is now looking to attach a writer and director with no production start date set yet. Oyelowo has a busy end of the year with “Interstellar,” “Selma” and “A Most Violent Year” all bowing in the last month. Two robbers were shot this afternoon Dec. 15th in Mechanic Iyana, in the Isashi Okokomaiko area of Lagos after they tried the rob a woman. The robbers were about getting away when the policemen chased them, shot them and took them away.

The former director of Pittsburg State's College of Business is facing federal charges of defrauding Nigerian graduate students recruited to attend the school. Federal prosecutors said Wednesday that 61-year-old Michael Muoghalu of Pittsuburg faces one count of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. Muoghalu is accused of taking more than $148,000 in refunds due to the Nigerian students in Pittsburg State's Masters of Business Administration program. The Pittsburg Morning Sun reports that prosecutors allege that beginning in 2006 Muoghalu worked with an unknown accomplice in Nigeria to persuade 15 Nigerian students to give him part of the refunds they received on deposits for tuition and fees. Muoghalu was suspended in June and resigned Sept. 15. Source: AP

In his controversial new autobiography titled, My Watch, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said he didn't know that his late wife, former First lady Stella Obasanjo had been planning to undergo a tummy tuck to mark her 60th birthday anniversary. A cosmetic surgery that later killed her. On page 240 in Volume two of his book, Obasanjo said it was after she had died on October 23rd 2005 in Spain that he found out what really killed her. What he said after the cut... " After the internment, I decided to look into the circumstances of her death. The Ugandan maid who was secretly filmed beating, kicking and stamping on an 18 months old baby has been sentenced to 4 years in prison for assault on a child. 22 year old  Jolly Tumuhiirwe was sentenced this morning December 14th in a Kampala high court after pleading guilty to the crime of assault last week. The court dropped charges of torture which would have given her at least 10 years in prison. 4 years is good enough. Lesson learnt. Justice served!

An unidentified gunman is currently holding several people hostage in  Sydney ,  Australia , police officers have said. The attacker has taken control of the  Lindt Cafe  in Sydney’s central business district which at the time had at least 10 staff and "probably 30 customers" inside according to an executive. The incident occurred early on Monday, December 15, as people were arriving the building for work. A black Islamic flag has been displayed at the window of the café and it is believed to be the  “al-Raya” , a generic symbol of Islam that bears the  "Shahada" , a statement of the Islamic faith that says:  “There is no god but God and Muhammad is the messenger of God.” Australian authorities are however hesitant to label the incident a terrorist attack with Prime Minister  Tony Abbott  saying it might be politically motivated. “I can think of almost nothing more distressing, more terrifying than to be caugh...
