Avid Life Media, the company behind infidelity website AshleyMadison.com, confirmed on Wednesday that some legitimate data has been stolen from it and published online, but said it has never stored credit card information on its servers. Hackers dumped a massive cache of data about Ashley Madison users online late on Tuesday, posting it on a part of the Internet that is only accessible by using a specialized browser. Lists of email addresses quickly popped up in more accessible parts of the Web, threatening to wreak havoc on relationships across the globe. The Nigeria Armed Forces have resolved to partner with Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) as a platform to get necessary communication infrastructure for optimal performance. This deliberation took place at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, when the Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT, Abimbola Alale paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin. The visit was aimed at renewing partnership with the military. She thanked the military authorities for choosing the organization as its communication provider and reassured them of improved service. She stated further that the visit was to partner with the military beyond primary satellite communication but to provide other capabilities that will aid effective and efficient delivery in their activities. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national vice chairman, South-south, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to institute a probe into the multi-billion dollar Centenary City project. He alleged that there were fraudulent acquisitions clandestinely orchestrated by the sponsors of the project which cover over 1,500 hectares of land in the Federal Capital City, Abuja. Dr. Ojougboh made the allegation in a petition dated July 21, 2015 and copied the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for necessary action. He said the Centenary City project was coordinated by former secretary to the government of the federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, whom he accused of cornering 3000 acres of the land designated for the city. He added that the land mass allocated for the Centenary City is estimated to be Maitama, Asokoro and Guzape districts put together. Oscar Pistorius will not be released from prison on Friday, the South African Justice Department has announced. The Justice Minister has referred the decision to release Pistorius to a review panel, according to a report by eNCA , meaning his parole date had been suspended. The Paralympian athlete was expected to be released from prison in Pretoria on Friday, where he would have carried out the rest of his sentence under house arrest at his uncle’s apartment. Pistorius was convicted of culpable homicide for shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door on Valentine's Day in 2013. However, the Justice Minister said releasing him after he had served just ten months of his five-year sentence was "premature", South African media reported. Remembering Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh one year after

Today marks the one year anniversary of the passing of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh. Dr. Ameyo identified and contained the first case of Ebola in Nigeria in July 2014 when a Liberian patient, Patrick Sawyer flew into Nigeria, already sick and checked into First Consultant Hospital, Lagos.  Her heroic efforts and decision to isolate Mr Sawyer despite intense pressure to let him leave prevented an outbreak and saved countless lives. However, she contracted Ebola and died on 19 August 2014. We owe our gratitude to this brave woman. Rest in peace Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh!

A robbery suspect, Ahmed Rewanu, akaAlagbara, has said the police arrested him with charm because he was caught unawares which made it difficult for him to escape. The 27-year-old was among four suspects arrested by the Rader Squad of the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba. Mother promised daughter $2million inheritance for staying silent on father's sexual abuse

A woman who was promised an equal share of her mother's $6 million estate to remain quiet about being sexually abused by her father as a child has successfully sued over the inheritance. According to  The Age ,the mother, who died in 2012 aged 93, left her daughter with 22 percent of the estate and gave the majority of it to her two sons despite their agreement. She also made it clear she didn't want her 38-year-old grandson to receive anything from the estate because he informed police in 2005 that his grandfather also sexually abused him when he was a child, Victoria's Supreme Court heard. Her 62-year-old daughter and her son were both awarded sums of money after suing the executor of her mother's estate. Supreme Court Justice Kate McMillan ordered the daughter to receive a $775,000 property and $100,000, while her son was to receive $175,000. The court heard the woman was 14 when her father started sexually abusing her and it continued for 12 m
