After the final match last night, Rihanna posted several pics on her instagram page showing her celebrating with the German team while clutching the World Cup trophy. Problem is, FIFA guidelines state only winners of the tournament and Heads of State are allowed to handle the official World Cup Trophy and Badgal RiRi is neither...but who cares? Not Rihanna. Horrific pics emerge of 25 women who were slaughtered in Baghdad after being branded prostitutes

Horrific pictures have emerged showing the bodies of some of the 25 women murdered in a raid on a Baghdad brothel. Gunmen wearing camouflage and carrying weapons fitted with silencers reportedly burst into two apartments in they city's Zayouna district on Saturday evening before massacring everyone inside. Police arrived at the building to find blood streaming down the stairs. Inside they discovered the bodies of dozens of women scattered around two apartments.  Most of the victims appear to have been killed by gunshost wounds to the head. In one image the bodies of five women are seen slumped together on the floor of bathroom.  In another the bodies of eight women are seen lying in a pool of blood in what appears to be a living room. Heavily Pregnant Woman Jumps From Burning Storey Building To Save Her Life (PHOTO & VIDEO)

A heavily pregnant woman, name not mentioned, has been filmed jumping from the balcony of burning storey-building in order for her to escape being burnt to death . The dramatic footage, which hit the internet at the weekend, is believed to be filmed in Turkey. According to the photographs and video posted on youtube, thick smoke and huge flames engulfed the building as a crowd gathered below asking the pregnant woman to jump to save her life. As the heavily-pregnant young woman was unable to flee, and she stood teetering on the edge of a roof, tense onlookers showed her where she should land by pointing to the centre of the crowd. As it appears she may be overcome with smoke, onlookers scramble to hold out a sheet and pieces of cardboard. Luckily, the woman is able to jump from the first storey of the building and is caught by the crowd. According to mirror.co.uk, the user who uploaded online, she is now recovering in hospital and is said to be in a good condition.

Scores Feared Killed In Fresh Boko Haram Attack On Borno Village

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents allegedly invaded Dille village in Askira-Uba LGA, Borno State, Monday morning killing scores of people. Vanguard reports with reference to the residents that the attack was launched about 6:00am, when the gunmen stormed the village, opened fire on locals and burnt 3 churches, the Church of Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) among them. As at the time of filing this report the attack is said to have not been finished. The gunmen, armed with explosives, anti aircraft guns and Rocket Propelled Launchers, were said to come from Sambisa forest. While the official data is yet to be provided, a source revealed  that many people are feared dead adding that 2 military helicopters, probably Air Force fighter jets, have been deployed to the area. It would be recalled that on June 15 the same LGA became target of attack as gunmen carrying AK-rifles and IEDs in a similar way invaded Daku village market and started shooting at locals. UK based Nigerian Ayadi Moniaye is claiming that his church's hierarchy in Nigeria and the UK took advantage of him, wrecked his marriage and are ignoring him. He claims his Nigerian wife used him to obtain visa /stay, then stitched him up, took his children, and took his possessions/house. He also claimed that the church and his ex-wife ganged up on him and smeared that he was insane. Video: Watch the moment 'dead' 3-year-old girl wakes up at her own funeral

A cellphone video has captured the incredible moment a 3yr old girl woke up during preparations for her own funeral in a church in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, in the Philippines. The girl had been declared dead by doctors at a local hospital on Friday July 11th after being taken there the day before suffering from a fever for several days.  Her parents took her to the church the next day, with family and friends gathered for the burial when the unthinkable happened. It was only when one of her parents' neighbours removed the lid of the coffin to arrange the girl's remains that she saw the little girl's head move. She immediately alerted the girl's father who quickly removed her from the coffin and took her to hospital. It was later found that the girl was in a state of comatose, not dead. See the video below

Police Arrested 16 student-cultists during initiation in Ogun

ABEOKUTA — The Ogun State Police Command, yesterday, said its detectives attached to Ewekoro Division had arrested 16 suspected cultists, including students of a polytechnic in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, who stated this in a statement said the detectives acted on an intelligence gathering on the activities of cult groups in the area and bust their initiation. According to Adejobi, 16 suspects, including eight students of the polytechnic, were arrested. Abubakar Shekau, leader of the violent Islamist sect, claimed responsibility for the explosion in Apapa – one of the key homes of businesses with national and international relevance, including the port. It also owned up to the bombing in Abuja, in the 16-minute video given to the French news agency AFP. Shekau said his group was responsible for a bombing in the capital Abuja and an attack at the fuel depot in Lagos on June 25. The Lagos attack was described by government officials as an industrial accident, but an AFP investigation revealed it was a deliberate explosion. “I ordered (the bomber) who went and detonated it,” Shekau said. “You said it was an accidental blaze. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four notorious robbery suspects, saying they are notorious for the snatching of cars at gunpoint and reselling them to unsuspecting members of the public. Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has resigned after his country's failure to win the 2014 World Cup, reports Brazilian broadcaster Globo TV. Scolari, 65, won the tournament in 2002 but his side could only finish fourth when hosting this year's event. His team were thrashed 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup semi-final, their joint-heaviest loss ever and first home competitive defeat for 39 years. Brazil then lost 3-0 to the Netherlands in the third place play-off. Scolari's contract was set to expire after the tournament, and Globo TV - Brazil's leading broadcaster - reports that the resignation will be confirmed on Monday by the CBF, Brazil's football confederation. ALERT: Lagos issues alert on Ebola, gives precautionary tips

LAGOS—Worried by the increasing cases of deaths from the outbreak of Ebola virus in some  neighbouring  West African countries, the Lagos state government,  yesterday gave some  precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak  of the deadly virus in the state. According to Vanguard , Ebola virus is currently ravaging many communities in some West African countries like Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone among others. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, in a statement, said the measures became necessary with a view to preventing the outbreak of the disease in the State, listing the measures include; washing of hands often with soap and water, avoiding close contact with people who are sick and ensuring that objects used by the sick are decontaminated and properly disposed. He advised health workers to be at alert and ensure they always wore personal protective equipment as well as observed universal basic precautions when attending to suspected or confirmed cases, and repo

Photos: Man allegedly found with explosives at Awo Hall in OAU

According to eyewitnesses, the man pictured above identified as Rasaki Adebayo was on Wednesday July 9th caught inside the Awo Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife in Osun state, trying to set up explosives. He was caught with what looked like petrol mixed with chemical. The students said he was trying to blow up a block in the hall. The man was immediately arrested and is still in police custody.
