Asari-Dokubo Arrested in Benin Republic

It was reported by SaharaReporters as follows: The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, was today arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic. A statement by his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, said Dokubo was picked up by the police between 1:00pm and 2:00pm around the Lubeleyi roundabout, and taken to an unknown destination. The wealthy former militant reportedly opened a private university in the Benin Republic, the King Amachree African University that is preparing to start degree-awarding programmes in 2014.

A 15 year-old boy named Kieran Obazee was shot and stabbed on Friday Nov. 22 at his east London home by gang members in what police believe may have been a case of mistaken identity. The boy survived the attack. However, he is currently in a hospital in a very bad condition. As it was gathered, five men wearing balaclavas and armed with kives and a gun forced their way into the home in Plaistow just before 3am on Friday. Further a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. It is believed by the detectives that the boy was mistakenly taken for a member of a gang. This morning a Scotland Yard spokesperson said:

Nigeria's oldest airline, Aero Contractors has reportedly changed its name to Nigerian Eagle and will be the national carrier. A Boeing 737-500 wearing the national colours is currently parked in a private hangar at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The new national carrier will be unveiled in the coming days. The new airline is owned jointly by the Federal Government through (Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and the Ibru family with the former owning 60% and the latter owning 40%.  Photos courtesy - Auto Focus Blog

Ryan Klug, the suspected killer of Adaobi Obih, caught in Texas

In case you missed the story, read it HERE. The prime suspect in the murder of 26 year old Nigerian, Adaobi. M. Obih, has been apprehended in Texas. Ryan Allen Klug was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals near Galveston, Texas on Saturday Nov. 23rd, four days after his roommate Adaobi was found dead in the flat they shared in Indiana. A full time test engineer at Cummins Inc., Adaobi only began to pursue her PHD before she was murdered. Family sources said she leased the apartment on her own and Klug was her tenant who paid rent to her. They also said Ada interviewed a large number of people before deciding to lease a room to Klug. Only for her to end up killing her.

A source close to D'Banj and his former producer and partner, Don Jazzy, has hinted that times have changed and the two men are back together as good friends and have decided to work together. Since separating from each other, D'banj has not released any song that is as strong and with National appeal as it used to be when Don Jazzy was his producer. Also, Don Jazzy on his part has not been able to produce any hit with his new crew like it used to be when D'Banj was around. So, don't be surprised if you hear a new hit song from D'banj and Don Jazzy any time soon. The good days are back for lovers of good music in Naija and I hear the atmosphere is charged to deliver something that would be worth the long breaks.

How a Woman Bites Off A Married Man's Manhood

It was a terrible sight on Sunday evening as a middle aged woman, identified as Kemi, bit off the manhood of her neighbour around the Inalende area of Ibadan, Oyo State. Kemi was said to have resorted to biting, according to an eyewitness, after she was thoroughly beating by the man, identified simply as Rasheed. Speaking on what made her cut off a man's manhood with her teeth, Kemi said: “He reported me and my friend to my friend’s mother in-law after she arrived at our house and thereafter started to beat me and when nobody rescued me from him, I bit him but I do not know it was his pénis .”
