The little girl who was taken from the UK and brought to Nigeria by her paternal grandmother  without her mother's consent has been found. The little girl's mum, Temmy Moronke, who has been on a week-long online campaign to find her daughter, shared the news on Twitter today. In a heartbreaking revealation which reveals unfathomable cruelty by ISIS,a  15-year-old girl has revealed how she escaped Isis militants by drugging and shooting two husbands who bought her as a slave.The teenager, who choose to remain anonymous  to protect her family, was one of hundreds of women from the Yazidi sect who were kidnapped in Mount Sinjar. The women and girls were trafficked to Isis strongholds, where survivors say many were raped. The Executive Secretary of the Bayelsa state Independent Electoral Commission, Simon Akpen has been assassinated. According to  Sahara Reporters , Akpen was shot point blank in the head at his residence in Otiotio road, Yenogoa around 10pm on Friday October 10th by unknown gunmen who laid an ambush for him as he returned home from an outing. He died on the spot. Confirming the incident, the state's police commissioner, Valentine Ntomchukwu, said it's a suspected case of assassination as no valuable was taken from the deceased residence after he was killed "In my opinion, it may be a case of assassination because they didn't take anything away after killing him" Ntomchukwu said

In October 2012, 23yr old Victoria Phanhtarath and her then boyfriend Freddy Mendez were arrested over the beating death of Victoria's 3 year old daughter, Alexis Hawkins. Freddy was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, Victoria was sentenced to 35 years for failing to protect her child from an abusive man.
