GRE, TOEFL suspended indefinitely in Nigeria

Nigerian students planning to write qualifying examinations into colleges and universities abroad should start seeking other alternatives as Education Testing Services, ETS, has suspended both the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) in Nigeria “due to security concerns.” ETS is the world’s largest private nonprofit educational testing and assessment organization. It conducts examinations in almost all the countries of the world. In a terse statement dated November 7, published on its website, ETS said both examinations have been suspended indefinitely in Nigeria.

Enugu first lady, Clara Chime, the estranged wife of Enugu State’s Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, has expressed disappointment about the report of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) about its investigation of her complaint, and asked for it to be withdrawn. “Apart from the fact that the information was largely false, it showed lack of sensitivity in publishing sensitive medical detail,” she said today in a letter to her lawyer, Femi Falana. “This has the effect of tarnishing and damaging my reputation. It is as though the Commission set out to ridicule me.”

I'm a student and my boy friend is also a student in d same school. we were living together in school before some of my friends advised me 2 move out because of several quarrels and fights we usually had. He is in his final level now , I ve have been dating him for over 5yrs, even b4 we got admission into d university , he loved me so much , and I love him too , I used "loved"because am not sure he does anymore , I just feel he's using me now.  We've had a series of quarrels that made him beats me in the past, he couldn't provide anytin 4 me to d extent that I almost lost my admission in the uni because I couldn't pay my acceptance clearance fee.

Night travel may be fraught with a lot of dangers in Nigeria where highways are not in the best condition and robbers use the state of the roads as an opportunity to ambush interstate commercial vehicles. But in spite of these inherent dangers, there seems to be no reduction in the number of people who choose to go on journeys in the night. PUNCH  Investigation on Saturday showes that the attraction of some of the passengers to the night travel was more bizarre as much as it was almost unbelievable. When Saturday PUNCH visited some parks to investigate, it found out passengers preferred night travels for different reasons.
