A suspect, 49-year-old Ismaila Adeyemi, one of the suspects arrested for the murder of a former winner of Gulder Ultimate Search, Hector Jobarteh, has revealed how the dirty deal was planned. Recall that gunmen had, on September 3, 2017, trailed 38-year-old Jobarteh to his house on Olufowora Close, New Oko-Oba, Agege, from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport,Ikeja, and shot him dead. Ismaila, who was paraded on Monday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, told newsmen that one Nonso, KK and him stormed Jobarteh’s house on a robbery mission that day. T he Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, has reported the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru, to President Muhammadu Buhari, urging him to take urgent actions on matters ranging from alleged illegal practices to insubordination. F ormer Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has warned the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to be civil in their activities and stop misinterpreting every of his comment. Kalu issued the warning while reacting to a statement credited to IPOB condemning his claim that Kanu escaped from Nigeria to London via Malasyia.  Following an alleged raid on Kanu’s residence in Umuahia, the Abia State capital on September 14, the IPOB leader has not been seen or heard from, a situation that led to the disclosure by the former governor. Aggrieved by Kalu’s claim, IPOB and Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, described the former governor as a drowning man looking for relevance. IPOB had also threatened to drag Kalu, alongside the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai before a court of competent jurisdiction over the disappearance of its leader. T he Nigerian Senate on Tuesday asked the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing to remove all speed bumps indiscriminately erected on federal highways nationwide. The ministry is headed by Babatunde Fashola, a former Lagos State governor. In a motion moved by Barnabas Gemade, PDP-Benue and Stella Oduah, PDP-Anambra, the Senate noted that speed bumps are erected on almost all federal highways by whoever wanted, thereby causing agony for road users.
