Residents of Asaba in Delta State were on Monday thrown into a State of mourning when the news broke out that one Egoli, a graduate of Economics from the University of Benin allegedly committed suicide because she was jilted by her fiancé whom she has been waiting on for the past three years. Report says the deceased allegedly committed suicide because she was jilted by her fiancé who had gone ahead to marry another girl in Lagos. According to the Police public relations officer in the State, DSP Celestina kalu, a female graduate of Economics from the University of Benin, committed suicide in Asaba because she was jilted by her lover whom she has been waiting on for the past three years. The police spokesperson noted that the deceased was found dead in her room with some particles of drugs that she took. Her corpse has already been sent for autopsy. The president elect has issued a red card to serving top government officials who in recent times besieged his residence in Daura, Katsina to lobby for retention of their positions. Buhari, was livid last week when the current Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde, visited his residence in Daura to pay homage.  Per Second News  learnt that the customs boss who coincidentally hails from, Musawa Local Government Area, Katsina state immediately after informing the President-Elect of his mission was advised to go back to his duty post. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have reportedly scheduled the run-off governorship elections in three states, Imo, Abia and Taraba, where last Saturday’s elections were declared inconclusive, for Saturday 18 of April. According to senior officials of the commission, the proposed April 18 date was yet to be officially confirmed because those who are supposed to take a decision on it are yet to meet. DAILY POST recalls that INEC had declared the Imo State gubernatorial election inconclusive following the cancellation of results from 216 polling units that cut across 23 local governments with over 144,000 registered voters.
