There was a bomb explosion in Mogadishu, the Somali Capital this afternoon July 25th. The massive explosion targeted Jazeera hotel close to UN compound, in Mogadishu. The source was a car laden with explosives. (left is what is left of the hotel). At least 6 people have been confirmed dead. Yakubu Dogara, Dr Abdulmumin Jibrin And Others After The Meeting The crisis in the house of representatives over principal positions is over, Dr Abdulmumin Jibrin, spokesman of Consolidation Group, has said – ahead of Tuesday’s reconvening of the lower chamber. According to Jibrin, “gladiators” in the Femi Gbajabiamila camp have settled for the “Dogara formula” for the allocation of principal positions. Gbajabiamila and Yakubu Dogara, the speaker, had been enmeshed in a rift over the sharing of principal positions of the house. While Jibrin is pro-Dogara, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the newly proposed majority leader, is pro-Gbajabiamila. ISIS's notorious executioner Jihadi John has reportedly fled the jihadi group and is on the run in war-torn Syria and may have joined another jihadi group. Mohammed Emwazi, a British Kuwaiti computer science graduate turned murderer, is believed to have left the jihadi group after becoming fearful he might be killed by ISIS's chiefs. The British jihadi has not been seen in a propaganda video for nearly six months after the horrific beheading of Japanese photojournalist Kenji Goto.  It is thought that the media pressure associated with being the masked executioner and the publicity surrounding his real identity may have led to Emwazi's surprise decision to leave ISIS. Possibly reasons for his decision to leave may be linked to his concerns that British and American special forces are thought to be carrying out covert operations in Syria and Iraq. Jagaban is being accused by a senator of being behind Toyin Saraki's EFCC ordeal. According to a report by  Punch , Senator Joseph Waku, a former Vice-Chairman and member, Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum, says the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, allegedly masterminded the EFCC petition against the wife of the Senate President, who has since  to be invited by the anti-graft commission for questioning.
