The Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk 2017 to be held in over 10 States across Nigeria
Idea Builders Initiative (IBI) is a Non-Profit (NGO) dedicated to providing innovative leadership
and entrepreneur development interventions targeted primary at women and girls and was
established in 2003, which originally focused on women, agriculture, and rural community
development. It is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as incorporated Trustees.
As part of our efforts and objectives to promote women development and create opportunities
for learning and mentoring for young women in Nigeria, Idea Builders is partnering with the Vital
Voices Global Partnership to lead the 2017 Women Mentoring Women Walk in Nigeria.
The Global Mentoring Walk is an opportunity to highlight the importance of women’s leadership,
and to accelerate the impact of women leaders through mentoring. Organized by outstanding
local leaders who are key members of the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network, the annual
Mentoring Walk brings together established women leaders and emerging women leaders to walk
together in their community. As they walk, they discuss their professional challenges and
successes and establish a mentoring relationship in which the seasoned leader guides, advises and
supports her peer.

Held on the same day in countries across the world, the Mentoring Walk unifies the Vital Voices
Global Leadership Network. This year’s walk will be held Saturday, March 11th, 2017 to celebrate
International Women’s Day.
This year walks will be held across Nigeria in multi-city walks including Calabar, Lagos (Mainland
and Island), Ilorin, Uyo, Enugu, Port -Harcourt, Kaduna, Ibadan, Abeokuta & Abuja.
