My Husband Sleeps With My younger Sister and Want To Use Me For Rituals - Wife Tells Court
Addressing the court, 35-year-old Aminat who is a tailor said trouble started between her and her husband, Abdulraheem Bello, after one of his brothers Ishiaka came to live with them, Nigerian Tribune reports.
She explained that shortly after his arrival, Ishaika started disturbing her to sleep with him and she refused his advances, telling him what he was requesting for was an abomination.
When he realized she was not giving in to his advances, he began to call her names. She reported the matter to her husband but was shocked when he picked up a quarrel with her rather than caution his brother.
She accused her husband of sleeping with her younger sister who was living with them, though he denied the allegation saying, he was only helping the sister to apply ointment on her body.
Aminat further accused her husband of wanting to use her for money rituals. She said he went to a cemetery along with his friend who is an alfa to perform some rituals and since then she has been having sleepless nights.
She said: “When I went to a prayer house, I was told that my husband was responsible for my predicament and that he, wanted to use me for money rituals. I’m still young and don’t want to die now. I’m tired of my husband, please separate us.”
Reacting to his wife’s allegations, Abdulraheem who described his wife as wayward, said she has already moved out of his house and is now living very close to her new husband who injured him with a machete when he accused him of sleeping with his wife.
He said he was no longer interested in the marriage and asked the court to dissolve it.
After listening to both parties, the court president, Mr Ramon Olafenwa, separated the couple the couple, giving custody of the ri four children to Aminat.
