#GUSTheMission: How Ikenna begged for second chance after eviction. (PHOTOS/ VIDEO)

In what is being recorded as the first time ever in Gulder Ultimate Search history, a contestant yesterday appealed to the Council of Elders for a second chance after his eviction announcement was made.
The evicted contestant, Ikenna Emedike, fondly known as Ikenna E the doctor, made the appeal after the reality show’s anchor, Chidi Mokeme said he has been ‘Evicted’. It would be recalled that Ikenna bore the ‘Stump of Shame’ recently, which ultimately made him ‘deaf and dumb’ for a day following his disobedience of the instruction of the Council of Elders.

The punishment was meted out to Ikenna for having ‘Stood on Stump’ after sleeping in a luxury room alongside three other contestants as well as his inability to complete the Octagon Chart task.
The Octagon Chart task involved contestants arranging three pieces of a hexagon to form the word, ‘AXE’. Shortly after eight contestants had completed their tasks, Ikenna finished his and attempted to proceed but was stopped by Chidi who said: 

‘But unfortunately for you Ikenna, stay right there because you are hereby evicted from the Ultimate Search… Goodbye.’  But in an unprecedented act of seeking salvation, Ikenna, in an emotion-laden voice responded: ‘Excuse me sir, I don’t want to go sir, give me one more chance, please sir.’
The anchorman however showed no sympathy and Ikenna Emedike joined Nwagbagiro Sandra, Iwuoha Ikenna, Nwagboso Joshua, Eriata Blessing & Erijakpor Loretta who had been evicted from Gulder Ultimate Search XI The Mission earlier.



The night also saw the remaining eight contestants Nne Cosy Joe, Ubachukwu Chinedu, Otto Canon Chimenem, Afolabi Emmanuel Olusegun, Iroh Noela, Appi Samantha, Robinson Sharon and Addoh Evi elected into the General’s Army....

Herdsman kills police officer in Kebbi

A police officer, Danladi, in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has been killed by a herdsman identified as Babuga Kuaara. According to the Kebbi State Police Command, the slain officer was attached to the Kaoje Police division in the local government area. A farmer had reported Kuaara to the Police after cows belonging to the herdsman allegedly destroyed his farm. A witness who pleaded anonymity told journalists that the late officer was asked to arrest the herder who was still wandering with his cattle within the area, but he got killed in the process. “The police officer who came with his riffle, arrested the suspect, but as he was taking him to the waiting patrol vehicle, the herder drew his machete and stabbed the officer on his neck,” the witness said. “We saw the officer groaning in pains and bleeding but he died before we could apply first aid.
