Femi Kuti calls out Linda Ikeji over DNA test report.

Following reports that Femi Kuti has disowned two of his 5 children after a DNA test revealed he did not father them, the musician has offered clarifications to the general public on the matter.

While disclosed that his management will take the issue up from the original source in a series of tweets, Femi Kuti said ‘I live with my children and those that know me know how much I love them. It’s someone trying to be mischievous because they know the love I have for my children and are trying hurt me. I’m 52 years old and I have 6 children Omorinmade who’s studying music in London, Ayomode, Tunmise, Demilade, Tejumoluwa and Bisayo my last.’. 

Specifically calling out Linda Ikeji from whose stable the report emanated, the Grammy Nominee continued: ‘She put children that r my biological in pretext of the story, that’s 8yrs old & I didn’t talk about. The pics put up are pics of my biological children to pretend the story happened like yesterday. The pictures you put on your blog are pictures of my children, taken very recently. And the story is 8years old. I will appreciate if u take down the pictures you put of my children on your blog. This is very wrong. To pretend the story is recent and use picture of my biological children to lie is totally unacceptable o. Please take my kids off.’...

Herdsman kills police officer in Kebbi

A police officer, Danladi, in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has been killed by a herdsman identified as Babuga Kuaara. According to the Kebbi State Police Command, the slain officer was attached to the Kaoje Police division in the local government area. A farmer had reported Kuaara to the Police after cows belonging to the herdsman allegedly destroyed his farm. A witness who pleaded anonymity told journalists that the late officer was asked to arrest the herder who was still wandering with his cattle within the area, but he got killed in the process. “The police officer who came with his riffle, arrested the suspect, but as he was taking him to the waiting patrol vehicle, the herder drew his machete and stabbed the officer on his neck,” the witness said. “We saw the officer groaning in pains and bleeding but he died before we could apply first aid.
