This is even as the Mzough U Tiv, a socio-cultural organization of the Tiv nation called for a peaceful and issue-based campaigns.
President of the association, Engr. Edward Ujege assured Terhemen Tarzoor the total support of the organization.
The umbrella sellers made bliss business in the place as thousands of party supporters procured the commodity and were using it to symbolize their unflinching support for the ruling PDP.
Gboko is the ancestral town of the Tiv nation and the flag off of the PDP campaign rally in the area is to immortalized the legendary of the late Joseph Sarwuan Tarka, who fought for the emancipation of the people.
The governorship flag bearer, Terhemen Tarzoor and his running mate, John Ngbede, Benue state Governor Gabriel, his deputy Chief Steven
Lawani, as well as senate president David Mark among other prominent indigenes of the state attended the event.
However, the umbrella sellers were obviously happy selling their products, just as they commended the party for enabling them to make great profit. The products nearly became insufficient because buyers scrambled to purchase it.
