Buhari's Wife, Daughter Speak On Elections Postponement
Aisha Buhari, the wife of the presidential candidate from the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asked Nigerians to accept the shift of Nigeria’s general elections in good faith.
While addressing women’s groups in Zamfara state, Mrs Buhari said Nigerians should realise the importance attached to the upcoming general elections, and that they should not be dispirited by any change in the schedule.
Buhari’s wife guaranteed that the extension would provide the opportunity for the party to seek more support ahead of the polls.
Zahra Buhari, a daughter of the APC presidential aspirant, expressed her feelings on her Twitter page. She said that postponing the general elections has again proven President Jonathan’s level of indecisiveness.
No matter what they do to rob GMB and Nigerians of victory...we will Never stop MARCHing for #Change #March4Buhari

The son of the APC governorship candidate in Kaduna state, Bello El-Rufai, has also responded:
They can postpone it but they can't delay destiny ..."

In his turn, the deputy director general of the APC presidential campaign, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora, said on Monday, February 8, that the postponement decision was “not based on altruism”.
The electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had cited the issue of insecurity in the North-east, about which security operatives wrote a letter requesting that the election should be postponed, as the reason for its decision.
The elections firstly scheduled to be held on February 14 and 28 have been postponed to March 28 and April 11.
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, in response to accusations that it had engineered the election delay, has said that while is supports the postponement based on the reasons given by the electoral body, it had no advantage from the postponement.
