There was a minor fire incident at the "E" arrival wing of the International terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 1.13pm today, Wednesday , April 1st. The fire was said to be from offices at the E wing on the ground floor of the terminal by a combined team of FAAN’s electrical engineers and fire officers. Investigations has commenced to ascertain the cause of the fire.


The airport authority in a statement said the traveling public and other airport users were in no immediate danger as a result of the incident and neither did it affect flight operations at the terminal.

A police officer, Danladi, in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has been killed by a herdsman identified as Babuga Kuaara. According to the Kebbi State Police Command, the slain officer was attached to the Kaoje Police division in the local government area. A farmer had reported Kuaara to the Police after cows belonging to the herdsman allegedly destroyed his farm. As you read this, the over 200 female students abducted on April 14 from Government Girls School,Chibok, in Borno State are passing through hard times, with some of them being rapéd for as much as 15 times a day. One of the abducted girls who managed to escape made this shocking revelations.
