Tension in Aso Rock as Buhari set to appoint, Spokesman, SGF & Chief of Staff

Expectedly, the newly sworn-in president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari should by now have name his first set of appointment, but for some last minute permutations.
OurExclusive reliably gathered from sources within the presidential villa that the President will be announcing his Spokesperson, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation anytime from now barring last minute change of mind.
We were told there is a mild unrest in the party hierarchy of the All Progressive Congress as lobbyist have just intensify effort to become what of the yet to be appointed positions.
Though popular among names penned down for the Chief of Staff job is Dr. Kayode Fayemi; former governor of Ekiti who was the head of policy and research committee of the Buhari campaign council. But feelers from Bourdillion, Ikoyi abode of the party’s National leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu shows that the party chief is not pleased with a Fayemi Chief of Staff.
To settle this rumble, President Buhari is presently considering his long time ally, Former Kaduna state Military Administrator, Col. Hamid Ibrahim Ali (rtd).
During the campaign, Col. Ali was in charge of the crowd funding project President’s political project and those who should know are not arguing about it because they believe that Ali has earned the respect to do the work and have an huge chemistry with the former General.
As for the Spokesperson’s job, one name that is still on the mind of the President as we speak is Mr. Femi Adesina; MD of Sun Newspaper and President of Nigeria Guild of Editors, NGE. But kicks have started coming in as some believed Adesina edited the hate campaign sponsored by Ekiti governor, Ayo Fayose against President Buhari as a candidate during the electioneering.
A former spokesperson to immediate past governor of Kano state, Mallam Rabiu Kwakwanso, Jafaar Jafaar has condemned the rumoured appointment of Adesina saying ‘Garba Shehu can do the job or Lai Mohhammed’.
Garba Shehu is former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku’s media aide who was brought to head the media team of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization. Alhaji Lai Muhhammed is the National publicity secretary of the APC.
The big question is, will Buhari rescind his intention about Femi Adesina?
Will Ogbonaya Onu be allowed to be the SFG? That is another question begging for answer as Sen. Chris Ngige signifies intention for the plum job.
Onu, a party leader who led the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP to the merger is highly favoured by the party hierarchy.
