BREAKING: Saraki’s meeting with Oyegun, APC leaders ‘cancelled’ abruptly

Senate President Bukola Saraki was scheduled to meet with John Oyegun, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress‎ (APC), and members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at 12:45 pm on Thursday, but it has now been called off.


Bamikole Omishore, Saraki’s media aide, sent out a message at 12:25, which read: “‎His Excellency, Distinguished Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, will be at APC party secretariat at 12:45 to meet chairman and NWC. Press, please take note.”

But a few minutes later, he sent another message, terse this time: “Apologies, meeting has been cancelled.” Omishore did not state any reason for the cancellation of the meeting
