The Civil War In APC Is Over- Oyegun
Chief Odigie Oyegum, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress has revealed that the internal strife in the party is over.
According to the Cable, the APC leader took responsibility for the misunderstandings which occurred as a result of actions he refused to take as the head of the party, noting therefore, that purported calls for his resignation by some party members are no longer necessary.
He said: “The civil war in the party has ended. Like I said, the focus is, look gentlemen, let us not allow this distract us from the pact we have with the Nigerian people.”
Oyegun also stated that he believes that fairly dramatic results would start to become a reality in the Nigerian public life, adding that after four years, he wants the Nigerian people to be grateful they voted the APC.
“We want to do it in such a way that at the end of four years, most Nigerians would say thank God we voted APC, thank God we voted Buhari.”
The unrest in the party began after electing Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila for the leadership of the two chambers of the 8th national assembly, Bukola Saraki, Yakubu Dogara usurped power and emerged as leaders of the assembly instead.
The party has since said that it would not punish its erring members as they have resolved their crises and have also accepted the results of the elections.
