Just In: Riot in Kuje prison in Abuja. Inmates being teargassed

According to a Tweet posted few minutes ago by SaharaReporters, there is an ongoing unrest at the Kuje prison in Abuja where the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu is spending time in detention as live bullets and tear gas are reported fired against the rampaging prisoners.

The cause of the riot and the degree of damage to the facility is not yet ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
