NIGER DELTA ATTACKS: Store manager and five others arrested for allegedly supplying explosives to the Niger Delta militants.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Mongonu (Rtd), said the suspects have been handed over to the relevant authorities for prosecution.

Gen. Monguno said there has been a diversion of about 9000 kilogrammes of high explosives and another 16,420 pieces of electrical detonators by the militants.

He threatened to withdraw the licenses of some local fertiliser manufacturing companies in the country.

The National Security Adviser gave a stern warning to two fertiliser manufacturers for alleged sabotage in attaining food security in the country.

He said the federal government will not compromise in the provision of adequate security for its people.
