5 feared dead as Hausas, Yorubas clash in Ile Ife (graphic photos)

At least five persons are feared dead in a communal clash involving Hausas and Yorubas in Ile-Ife, Osun state this morning. According to eye witneses, the clash started at about 9am today.

An argument between a Hausa man and a Yoruba woman at a market in the Sabo area of the town, degenrated into a fight that was later hijacked by some youths in the area.

The irate youths destroyed goods belonging to the Hausa traders at Lageere in retaliation to the havoc done around the Sabo market. Residents of the town have fled their homes while the police is working to restore law and order.

Mushin Violence: Serial Killer, Others Arrested By The Police

Toba and Muda The Lagos State Police Command has arrested alleged serial killer, Adigun Oriyomi, aka Muda, after five months of being on the run. The command also arrested two others, including the alleged gang leader in the Fadeyi area of the state, Toba Ajiboye. PUNCH Metro had reported that Muda was arrested last year for murder and was charged to court and remanded, but was later released. After his release, Muda was said to have gone after those who wrote statements against him at the police station and was said to be involved in about four more murders, including that of a pregnant woman and her three-year-old child in the Akala area of Mushin.
