Army chief, Tukur Buratai, orders officers to capture Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, dead or alive within 40 days

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has ordered Nigerian Army officers to capture the factional leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, dead or alive within 40 days. According to a statement by the Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, Buratai gave the order to the Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru yesterday July 21st.

Buratai asked the theater commander to employ all arsenal at his disposal to smoke out Shekau wherever he is hiding in Nigeria. The statement appealed to Nigerians to please assist the Army with any information that would lead to the accomplishment of this task.
