In a recent statement by Retired Gen Theophilus Y. Danjuma who asked Nigerians to arm and defend themselves against the marauding Fulani herdsmen wreaking havoc in the country.


Gen. Danjuma said this on TVC while speaking on the maiden convocation of Taraba State University.



He said: ”There is ethnic cleansing going on in Taraba and some state including the ones in riverine areas of the country facilitated by those in power. ”If you people are waiting for the soldiers to defend you, you will all die one by one.



”Stand up and defend your lands against the attackers as you have no other place to run to”.

Twitter activist and Anti-Corruption Campaigner Kayode Ogundamisi has come hard on TY Danjuma over his statement. In his tweet, he said, "That T Y Danjuma calling on you to go buy AK-47 & AKM rifles with thousands of 5.45×39mm ammunition is a friend to President Buhari. His Children and Buhari's Children are friends enjoying life, rather than call on his friend to protect the poor, he calls on the poor to kill each other"
